First visit... came highly recommended. Cute old school atmosphere. Mostly dark wood interior with booths and tables, imagine a cuter version of the bar from cheers. Service was fantastic, very friendly waitress. Pizza was good, thicker crust than most places which we enjoyed.We did not have a salad but will next visit as the server said that their dressing is a customer favorite.
I wasn't happy when I came. I didn't know that you could seat your self so we stood a minute. No big deal. We really wasn't greater with any kind of a hello when we asked the waitress is we sat ourselves. We received our drinks right away but we needed a minute to order we waited 5 minutes ( not an exaggeration) and flag down someone. I explained that we were waiting and the manager or what ever said " I don't know what to tell you." I think an apology is what they could tell me. They delivered our food in great time and was given the apology. I excepted and I'm not as up set but I don't think we should have been told that.
Great place for pizza but I especially love their salad with house dressing. Very generous portion. Small establishment so I try to go during off times since there are only a few booths and may not want to sit at the bar. People are always friendly and service is good.
Relaxing little bar. Food is great. Nice place to clear my head after a day at work.
My Father, Uncle and Aunt used to bring me here as a child. My children and I currently live in NC. Tonight we had dinner here and I have to say it is just as magical as I remember it from 30 years ago. The service was friendly and the pizza was amazing. The Berkshire Cafe is definitely not just a pizza place(the pizza is amazing by the way), it is a cherished establishment full of history and great memories.
