Additionally their staff is much too casual. Chatting with each other about politics while taking 10 minutes to make a drink is off putting to a customer.
I will not be back.
The first time I went i ordered a vanilla latte and the same issues were apparent: watered down espresso and the drink was not hot.
The coffee is terrible. Today my double shot cappuccino was made with an espresso shot run thru the machine twice. The result was extremely watered down coffee. The milk was lukewarm and no foam, so basically I got a weak latte with lukewarm milk.
I really love this place. I think it's the cutest place in downtown Torrington - which is saying a lot, because Torrington is a very cute town. Great food, great service. I would come by much more frequently if it was closer to where I live.
This place is amazing. The coffee and smoothies are both very good. The women running the place are extremely kind, generous, and thoughtful. There are a bunch of events all the time here. All different types. Food, Art, Writing, etc. Prices aren't too bad either. Also, they have vegan menu options as well.
Went there during business hours, no one was even there. What a waste of my time. If you advertise that you're open, then there better be someone there. Fail
I live in torrington and have been to this place three times. First when they opened, next about a month ago, and finally today.
Funky little local place - not perfect but they are trying hard. FreakShakes are freakalicious and brainfreeze-inducing - you have been warned. Art on the walls, art on the shelves and art for sale, and those FreakShakes are works of art in themselves. Yeah, they have a fine selection of other beverages (hot and cold), but you should really try a FreakShake. The FreakShakes are freakin' good.
